Of North Tonawanda, NY, January 9, 2017, wife of 48 years to Walter; loving mother to three children: Kathleen (Christopher) Dill, Karen West and Michael; grandmother of eight grandchildren and one great-grandson; survived by a sister, Brenda (Joe) Saricks, of DuBois, PA; predeceased by her mother, Sara Borland, her father, James L. Anderson, of Dagus Mines, Pa, stepfather J. Hobart Borland of DuBois, PA and brother Gary J. (Dale) Anderson of Butler, Pa. An active member of First United Methodist Church of North Tonawanda, she served on the United Methodist Women Executive Board, was a member of Esther Circle, their reading resources program and a volunteer visitor for the comfort lunches. She was a 2007 Retiree of NYS-Western NY Developmental Disabilities Services. Visitation Friday, January 13, 2017 from 6-9 PM in the WATTENGEL FUNERAL HOME, 533 Meadow Dr., North Tonawanda, where services will be held Saturday at 10 AM. I have read and reread Bird by Bird in a quest to enforce my commitment to writing regularly, but I think my attraction to this book is really Anne Lamott’s personal journey. This is one of those titles that people always recommend, and I can’t believe I waited so long to get on board.
