The Meters : A Message From The Meters: The Complete Josie, Reprise & Warner Brothers Singles 1968-1977 (2CD) (Real Gone Music)

With our Used CDs, you can expect the disc to be free of all but the lightest of surface marks — clean, and not dirty at all. You can also expect the case to be clean (we often change the cases ourselves — putting fresh cases on Used CDs we handle) — and you can expect the booklet to be in good shape, unless noted otherwise. We will list any specific details/defects underneath the item — so look for notes on cutout marks in the case, stamps on the barcode, or details like that.

Released by K-Tel, Rap Attack is a brief budget-priced compilation that includes ten hip-hop favorites from the cusp of the '90s. There were so many great singles from this period that a definitive one-disc overview would be impossible. As far as this disc is considered, the selection is pretty random, but that doesn't mean the quality suffers too much for it. K-Tel uses radio edits and tracks that didn't have any profane language to begin with. Included here are Nice & Smooth 's "Funky for You," Public Enemy 's "Fight the Power," LL Cool J 's "Jingling Baby," Sir Mix-a-Lot 's "My Hooptie," Chill Rob G. 's "The Power," and X-Clan 's "Raise the Flag." Just about everything here should be recognizable to someone who paid casual attention to the hip-hop scene during the late '80s. Most have aged rather well.
